You’re Engaged! Now what?
‘Tis the season for engagement! Around the holidays while everyone is spending time with their friends & families, so many couples decide to start a new journey together! So congratulations to all you brides who just said the most important YES of your lives!
After you get the ring, I know you have so many thoughts and questions going through your head. That’s so normal, so don’t panic! For now, just relax. Enjoy these moments of engagement with your family and friends! Celebrate, like all the time! There will be time to find that perfect dress and decide on the color your mother will be wearing, but for now try to relax and take in these precious moments.
I love helping brides plan their perfect wedding, so I have a quick timeline below to help you while planning!! First things first, set a budget. This is incredibly important so you can start looking for the right venue, vendors, dress and those other details of the big day. Next, set a date! This is always fun! Pick the perfect date that you want to finally become his wife. This will help you when you are inquiring with venues and vendors to see who is available. Third, hire a wedding planner! Planners can help ease your whole wedding planner journey and make sure you get exactly what you want for your wedding! After hiring a planner, I suggest discussing the guest list. This will help you when deciding on your venue! You want to be sure the venue you pick can accommodate your guests! Next, find the venue and photographer! These vendors tend to book up quickly. I suggest to hire these vendors 9-12 months from you wedding. The next on the list, say yes to the dress! Typically wedding gowns take 5-7 moths after being ordered to arrive to you. So don’t wait too late! You want to be sure you get the perfect dress!!
After these main items are checked off the list, then it all seems to fall into place. Be sure to enjoy all the moments that make the engaged life so much fun! Take beautiful engagement photos, have a celebratory party after the engagement, and ask your bridesmaids in a fun way! Congratulations, again, sweet brides!
