Wedding Day Must – Do’s
The moment is here – WEDDING DAY! Before you take the walk down the aisle, there are a million tiny details that need to be perfect. Those special little moments before the wedding will fly by and the next thing you know, your wedding will be at your doorstep. I’m here to help you capture these small moments.
Through helping each bride on her journey, I know what helps each bride have joy and less stress. Besides the obvious of the hair and makeup, here are some fun tips and tricks on how to make the morning of your big day full of relaxation!
First off, breakfast. Have a healthy but filling meal to keep up your energy throughout the day. A couple of my recommendations: fruit, oatmeal, parfaits, pastries, and anything else to keep you filled and energized for the big day ahead! A lot of brides forget to eat on their wedding day- but do NOT skip out on breakfast. Skipping meals on a day like today is a big no-no; who wants to faint on their big day? – no one ever.
Breathe. Your day can be filled with more butterflies than expected, so take some time to breathe and don’t be afraid to take a few moments just for yourself.
Make a music playlist. Shake the nerves off by letting loose! Get your maid of honor to make you a fun throwback playlist of your favorites. Don’t be afraid to let loose, dance, and have the time of your life. Having relaxing music playing in the background as you get dressed often helps calm the butterflies. Before putting on your dress: Go to the bathroom. Too many times brides get into their dress before realizing that they have to go to the restroom. Before putting on your dress, make sure to make a quick bathroom stop. It won’t be so quick with your dress on!
Have everything? Shoes, earrings, deodorant, dental floss, perfume, lipstick. Make a checklist on your phone. Double check, triple check, check again!
Overnight and reception bag: Make sure to pack up all of your necessities if you are leaving straight from the reception. A smart idea is to have a “reception bag” filled with all of the essentials you might need, one of these being a change of shoes. Trust me, the shoes are a lifesaver!
Plan on having the camera crew film both sides of the wedding party before the wedding. These little moments are the ones that are the most precious. Being able to look back at the faces of your family, friends, and other significant moments before you say “I do” is an amazing experience.
