As I finished a wedding this weekend, I couldn’t help but fall more in love with the venue- which leads me into my discussion today…. The perfect venue! This no doubt is one of the biggest decisions you will make when it comes to planning your wedding; everything revolves around the venue! Finding that perfect venue is not only critical but crucial if you want to set the tone for the rest of your wedding!

Some advice when picking out a venue: First, have a style and vision in mind when searching for a venue. I can’t tell you how much easier this makes the process when you know what type of style you want; this will help you narrow down all of your options. Second, if you can’t envision it or see yourself walking down the aisle or dancing with your groom at the reception, then keep looking! Thirdbg`vc, go into it with the attitude of flexibility. Even though you have a vision, you may see a venue that bowls you over even though it doesn’t fit your pre-conceived notions. You may need some help envisioning it, but often, the venue will look completely different with your own touches on your special day! Lastly, always keep in mind your guest list. Having an estimate of how many people will be attending will help you narrow down the size of the venue you need.

Below I have listed a few of venues that I absolutely love and know you will fall in love with them as well!

One of my all-time favorite venues is the Hamilton Place Pursell Farms! This is the perfect Southern classic wedding venue. The picture-perfect setting and the impeccable grounds will leave any bride speechless. I would have another wedding here in a heartbeat; this venue is a vision!

We recently had one of our styled shoots at Birmingham Botanical Gardens; it turned out absolutely stunning. This unique venue will fit the needs of a classy outdoor wedding.

Stone Bridge Farms is next on my list! This is where I had my own wedding and would go back to that day over again in a heartbeat! They have so many options to do for your wedding, from flowers to food, they have it all!

If you’re looking for a smaller more intimate venue, Donnelly House is perfect. It has a southern elegance which is perfect for these Birmingham brides.
