Jessi & Matt’s Engagement Session
I’m excited to welcome Jessi & Matt to the KP Planning family! Jessi & Matt met while in college at the University of Alabama when Of course Matt realized that Jessi was someone he wanted to date, but sweet Jessi turned him down a few times because she was too worried about ruining a friendship. Little did she know, she would be spending the rest of her life with him! They continued to build a friendship until their senior year when they officially started dating. After 4 years of dating, Matt finally asked Jessi to be his wife!
Last fall Jessi and her dad decided to run a half marathon together in Naples, Florida so of course Matt joined for the weekend trip! Jessi thought that maybe Matt would propose on this perfect trip together, but didn’t want to get her hopes up. After they arrived in Naples, they went to a nice dinner and a walk on the private beach to watch the sunset. Matt knew the moment was perfect BUT he told Jessi how he wasn’t proposing tonight and that they would look at rings when they got back to Birmingham. HA! Jessi was a little disappointed because she knew it was perfect, but sweet Matt had something better in mind.
Sunday morning was the race and when Jessi and her dad crossed the finish line, Matt and her mom were waiting for them. Even though Jessi was so tired after the half marathon, Matt insisted they go to the water to take some photos. At that moment he decided to ask Jessi to be his wife! How precious! They have a precious corgi, named peanut which is the most photogenic dog I’ve ever seen!
I’m so excited for their fabulous wedding this fall at The Club! Jessi loves weddings as she is an editor of Alabama Wedding Magazine. Fun Fact: Jessi & I once cheered together for the Oak Mountain Eagles! Woo hoo! So happy to see Jessi start her life with Matt!
