Hostess With The Mostess! | Kendal Perry
Hello lovely brides!
Today I want to talk to you about hostess gifts! Many of you special brides are in the midst of your wedding planning and as you come closer to your big day, all sorts of parties will begin to emerge. Wedding showers, teas, the list goes on! Showing appreciation to the hosts who shower you with love and gifts is something every bride must do! While hostess gifts are a must, there is a way to keep these gifts in your budget- especially when you are buying for multiple hosts! Today is for the brides that are stuck on the what to give their host.
A lot of brides love to give Gift Cards, this is probably one of the easiest and most used hostess gift. Who doesn’t use a gift card? Find a nice restaurant they love, or a place they shop frequently or a place they just wish they could shop and your hostess gift will be set!
If you are looking to do something a little more thoughtful (and my personal favorite) think of making a Gift Basket full of goodies for the host! Things such as a candles, soap or body lotion, luxurious items that she may not buy herself, is something most every host will appreciate! Throwing in a pretty embroidered or monogrammed tea towel is another item I think adds a little spunk to any gift basket and something every household will use. Try to customize the basket to each host’s taste and include things you know they will love; while some may enjoy a basket of cook books and utensils, the next host may love a basket full of bubble bath, and imported chocolates. If you know that your host likes wine, a great idea is a nice Bottle of Wine, you can find a lot of beautiful bottles at World Market for a great price! Don’t know what wine they prefer? Get monogrammed wine glasses—sure to be a winner!
If you are looking to do something a little nicer, think of some type of Jewelry for your host! Although this may be a little bit more expensive, if you know the taste of the host, this is something they can keep and cherish for years! A couple of my favorites is THIS necklace from Sorrelli and THIS bracelet from Ronaldo; I love both these companies for their quality and daintiness of their jewelry!
I hope my suggestions will give you a jumping-off point to get that special gift! Whatever you choose, make sure it is unique to your host and that they will love and enjoy it and think of your special day when they use it!
xoxo,
Kendal
